Industry recognition

We are pleased to announce that Foresight Analytics & Ratings, has awarded  the Aura Core Income Fund a ‘VERY STRONG’ Investment Rating. This rating reflects a very strong level of confidence that the Fund can deliver a risk-adjusted return in line its investment objectives.

Warehouse financing – an innovative approach to lending

The Fund provides ‘warehouse’ financing to non-bank lenders. Rather than lending directly to small and medium sized businesses (SMEs), funds are invested in a select group of the non-bank lenders – who then lend to these SMEs and manage loan origination and liquidity.

Key advantages as outlined by Foresight Analytics & Ratings:

  • There are at least two layers of protection at the loan level, with all loans secured by collateral from the end borrower and the lender’s first loss capital.
  • Non-bank lenders provide equity as protection and assume the first loss in the case of a default, offering an additional layer of security for investors.
  • The Manager’s ability to mitigate lending segment risks by strict portfolio parameters and credit enhancement levels.
  • The Manager’s ability to ‘cherry pick’ niche non-bank lenders in a rapidly growing segment.
  • Floating-rate structure of the loans, which removes interest rate risk, and the short loan durations, which mitigates economic cycle risks.
  • The Manager’s ability to adjust the portfolio in response to changes in lending segments and economic exposures.
